Nieuwpoort Racing Week-End
Open Belgian IRC Championship
The regatta is open to all IRC measured yachts
START
- The start of the “Van de Velde Race” is foreseen on Saturday 16th as from 14.00 hrs.
- The start of the "Albert Jonnart Race" is foreseen on Sunday 17th as from 11.00 hrs
- The start of the "Westdiep Race" is foreseen on Saturday 23th as from 11.00 hrs
followed by the “Schlum Race”.
REGISTRATION
- Friday 15th September from 19.00 hrs till 22.00 hrs in both clubs,
- Saturday 16th September from 09.00 hrs till 12.00 hrs in the KYCN.
- Sunday 17th September from 08.00 hrs till 09.00 hrs in the KYCN.
- Saturday 23th September from 08.00 hrs till 09.00 hrs in the WSKluM
ENTRY FEE
- 20 €/day ( 50 €/3 days ) against the deliverance of the Sailing Instructions.
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
- The Sailing Instructions will be handed over during the entry inscriptions, only upon presentation
of a valid up to date rating certificate.
RACE COURSE AREA
- In the Nieuwpoort area using Charts D11 Vlaamse Banken or Admiralty chart C 30 or KMDH 1801.
SCORING
- The low point scoring system of App A will be modified, so that each boat's series score
will be the total of her race scores. The Van de Velde race and the Albert Jonnart race
will be taken into account for the ONZK 2006.
All races of the three days will be taken into account for the OBC IRC 2006
SAFETY
- Off Shore Racing Council, Safety Regulations, category 4 will apply.
NONE STARTING OR ABANDONING YACHTS
- Will report immediately to the Race Committee on VHF 72 or phone to the Race Office.
PRIZES
- One prize for the three first yacht in each class.
- A souvenir will be given to each competitor.
PRIZE GIVING
- As soon as possible after the finish of all the day races.
- Challenge Gilbert Van de Velde : Saturday 16th at the KYCN at +- 19.00 hrs
- Challenge Albert Jonnart : Sunday 17th at the WSKLum at 17.00 hrs
- Schlum Race + Westdiep Race : Saturday 23th at the KYCN at 19.00 hrs
- Final Prizegiving NZK & OBC on Saturday 23th at the KYCN at 19.30 hrs
SOCIAL EVENT
- Special NZK Buffet wil be held in the Club house of the KYCN
on Saturday 23th at 20.00 hrs
- Price : 20 €
- Reservation at the KYCN secretary ( 058/23.44.13 )before Thursday 21th 17.00 hrs
